Extends the Displaced Energy Worker Dependent Transition Scholarship from 1 year to 4 years of full-time enrollment at state-supported Illinois institutions of higher learning

Requires the displaced energy worker to have been an Illinois resident at the time of job loss to qualify for the scholarship program

Allows scholarship recipients to use the award regardless of their current state of residence

Covers tuition and fees at in-state rates, with annual awards capped at the equivalent cost of one calendar year at the University of Illinois

Effective July 1, 2026
