Requires the State Board of Education to publish resources, self-assessments, and best practices on its website to help educators prevent and address secondary traumatic stress (also called compassion fatigue)

Mandates all school districts adopt mental health policies and procedures for staff by January 1, 2028, with periodic reviews required thereafter

Requires each district to establish a workforce mental health committee, with at least half of members from collective bargaining units, responsible for sharing resources and reporting annually to the school board

Policies must include commitment to workplace mental health support, regular assessment of implementation with workforce input, and provision of training and resources for continuous improvement

Recognizes that teachers, counselors, administrators, and other school staff experience secondary traumatic stress from working daily with students who have experienced trauma
