Prohibits Illinois municipalities from requiring college education or degrees as a prerequisite for police officer examination or appointment for applicants age 21 or older

Amends Sections 10-1-7 and 10-2.1-6 of the Illinois Municipal Code (65 ILCS 5)

Removes the authority of boards of fire and police commissioners to require associate's or bachelor's degrees for police applicants through their rules

Applies to all municipalities in Illinois, overriding local educational requirements for police hiring
