Municipalities with zoning regulations must adopt at least 5 of 14 specified housing strategies that apply to the majority of areas where residential development is permitted

Housing strategy options include allowing duplexes, triplexes, or fourplexes where single-family homes are permitted, and permitting accessory dwelling units on single-family lots

Municipalities may reduce off-street parking requirements to no more than one space per unit, eliminate or reduce impact fees for ADUs by at least 25%, and reduce minimum lot sizes by at least 25%

Additional strategies include allowing higher density near transit and employment centers, permitting single-room occupancy and tiny house developments, and increasing building height limits by at least 25%

Housing strategies already adopted before the effective date count toward compliance, but strategies satisfying multiple requirements can only be counted once
