Replaces terminology variations "day care," "daycare," and "day-care" with the standardized term "child care" throughout various Illinois Acts when referring to the care of children

Amends the Child Care Act of 1969 to update definitions for "day care center," "part day child care facility," and "day care agency" to reflect the new terminology

Modifies provisions concerning prohibition of unlicensed practice, criminal background investigations, and advertisements under the Child Care Act of 1969

Repeals licensure exemptions for day care homes and group day care homes that serve children of military personnel and children from foreign states or countries

Effective date of July 1, 2026
