Requires health insurance policies issued, amended, delivered, or renewed on or after January 1, 2027 to cover annual lung cancer screenings for active firefighters and retired firefighters receiving pension benefits under the Downstate Firefighter or Chicago Firefighter Articles of the Illinois Pension Code.

Coverage must be provided without cost sharing for eligible beneficiaries.

Extends the coverage mandate to self-insured counties, municipalities, and townships providing health insurance to employees.

Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code to include the lung cancer screening requirement in the medical assistance program.

Adds the new lung cancer screening provision (Section 356z.88) to the list of required health benefits that self-insured local governments must provide under existing law.
