Amends Illinois Criminal Code Section 48-10 to establish a tiered fine structure for dangerous animal violations, with a minimum $300 fine for offenses not resulting in injury, death, or property damage.

Violations resulting in severe injury or death to any person carry a Class C misdemeanor charge with fines between $1,000 and $10,000.

Violations causing property damage are classified as Class C misdemeanors with fines ranging from $300 to $1,000.

"Dangerous animals" covered include lions, tigers, leopards, bears, wolves, coyotes, and various wild cats, as well as non-human primates such as chimpanzees, gorillas, and monkeys.

Each day of violation constitutes a separate offense, and upon conviction the animal must be confiscated and placed in an approved facility at the owner's expense.
