Beginning December 1, 2026, compensation for coroners, county treasurers, county clerks, recorders, auditors, and circuit court clerks in counties under 2,000,000 population shall equal 80% of the State's Attorney salary in their respective county.

Supervisors of assessments beginning terms on or after December 1, 2026 shall also receive salaries equal to 80% of the county State's Attorney salary.

The State will pay 66 2/3% of each covered officer's annual salary beginning December 1, 2026, increased from the current 50% reimbursement rate.

Beginning with the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027, county clerks, recorders, auditors, coroners, treasurers, and chief clerks of county election commissions shall receive an annual stipend of $12,800, adjusted annually.

The bill amends the Property Tax Code, Counties Code, and Clerks of Courts Act to standardize and increase compensation for these local government officers.
