Expands the Illinois Line of Duty Compensation Act to include emergency medical services (EMS) personnel as eligible for death benefits when killed in the line of duty

Defines "Emergency Medical Services personnel" by reference to Section 3.5 of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Systems Act

Adds EMS personnel to the list of covered workers alongside law enforcement officers, firefighters, paramedics, civil defense workers, civil air patrol members, chaplains, and state employees

Death must occur within one year of an injury received during active duty performance and result from violence or accidental cause to qualify for compensation

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law
