Parents of nonpublic school students may submit part-time public school attendance requests at any time, removing the previous May 1 deadline and requirement that requests come from the nonpublic school principal.

School districts receiving part-time students shall receive State funding for the pupil's participation, and part-time students cannot be charged enrollment or program fees beyond what full-time students pay.

Nonpublic school students may enroll part-time in any public school in their district of residence specifically for interscholastic extracurricular activities, with school boards prohibited from discriminating based on where the child attends school.

Part-time students participating in extracurricular activities must meet the same eligibility requirements, behavioral standards, and performance expectations as full-time students, and pay equal activity fees.

School districts and interscholastic athletic associations are prohibited from adopting rules contrary to these provisions, and the bill explicitly states it does not grant authority to regulate homeschool students' education.
