IL HB5620

Amends the Illinois Firearm Concealed Carry Act to create exceptions for incumbent and retired judges of the Illinois Supreme Court, Appellate Court, and circuit courts who hold concealed carry licenses.

Permits eligible judges to carry concealed firearms into court buildings, including those designated for circuit court, appellate court, or Supreme Court matters.

Allows eligible judges to carry concealed firearms on public transportation, including buses, trains, and public transit facilities funded wholly or partially with public funds.

Applies to both elected and appointed judges, whether currently serving or retired.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
