Designates Bond Avenue in Centreville from South 43rd Street to South 47th Street as "Lt. Gregory Jonas Memorial Avenue"

Lt. Gregory Jonas served with the Alorton Police Department from 1976 for eight years, then joined the Centreville Police Department in 1995 and was promoted to lieutenant in 2004

Lt. Jonas was shot and killed on June 2, 2009 while patrolling an apartment complex in the 4700 block of Tudor Avenue; the suspect received a 53-year prison sentence without parole

Requests the Illinois Department of Transportation erect appropriate plaques or signs at suitable locations identifying the memorial avenue

Directs that copies of the resolution be presented to Lt. Jonas's family and the Secretary of IDOT
