Creates the End Gun Violence in Disproportionately Impacted Areas Task Force to study root causes of violence and trauma, analyze data, and develop policy proposals to reduce gun violence in affected communities

Task Force membership includes 4 state legislators (appointed by House/Senate leadership), directors or designees from 7 state agencies, and approximately 26 Governor-appointed members representing local officials, police, nonprofits, media, and residents

Executive Director of the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority serves as chair; Director of Commerce and Economic Opportunity serves as ex officio, nonvoting advisory member; all members serve without compensation

Department of Human Services, Office of Firearm Violence Prevention provides administrative support for the Task Force

Final report due to the General Assembly by December 31, 2026, after which the Task Force dissolves
