Designates the portion of U.S. Route 24 traveling through Fairbury, Illinois as the "SSG Wilbur E. Troehler Memorial Highway"

Honors Staff Sergeant Wilbur E. Troehler, born March 3, 1916 in Fairbury, who served in the U.S. Army's 75th Infantry Division, Company D, 289th Infantry Regiment during World War II

SSG Troehler entered combat on Christmas Day 1944 in the Battle of the Bulge and served in England, France, Belgium, and Luxembourg before returning to the U.S. in April 1945

Troehler received numerous honors including the Bronze Star, Combat Infantry Badge, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, and World War II Victory Medal

Requests the Illinois Department of Transportation erect appropriate plaques or signs along the designated highway and provide copies of the resolution to Troehler's family, the Mayor of Fairbury, and the Secretary of Transportation
