Declares February 1 through February 8, 2025 as Court Reporting and Captioning Week in Illinois

Recognizes the Illinois Court Reporters Association (ILCRA) as the sole statewide association of freelance and official court reporters in the state

Acknowledges that licensed certified shorthand reporters (CSRs) write at 225 words per minute or faster to create verbatim records for courts and legal proceedings

Highlights that court reporters and captioners provide Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) services for individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, have auditory processing disabilities, or for whom English is not their first language

Directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to the Illinois Court Reporters Association
