Declares April 30, 2025 as Phi Beta Sigma and Zeta Phi Beta Day in the State of Illinois

Recognizes Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., founded January 9, 1914 at Howard University, and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., founded January 16, 1920, as the first and only fraternity and sorority constitutionally bound to each other

Commends both organizations for their commitment to community service, scholarship, and contributions to civil rights, the Harlem Renaissance, and various professional fields

Notable members include Harold Lee Washington (first Black Mayor of Chicago), Congressman John Lewis, writer Zora Neale Hurston, and scientist George Washington Carver

Directs that copies of the resolution be presented to the international presidents and regional directors of both organizations
