Declares May 2025 as ALS Awareness Month in the State of Illinois

Calls upon all Illinoisans to support amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) research and advocate for increased funding

Expresses support for the ALS community in efforts to increase awareness, prioritize research funding, and secure additional caregiving support

Recognizes that military veterans are disproportionately affected by ALS and more likely to develop and die from the disease than the general population

Notes that ALS currently has no known cure and typically results in death within five years of diagnosis
