Congratulates Waubonsie Valley High School on its 50th anniversary, founded September 3, 1975, with the anniversary occurring September 3, 2025

School has grown from 300 students at opening to approximately 2,700 students currently and is part of Indian Prairie School District 204

Named after Chief Waubonsie, a prominent Pottawattamie leader known for negotiating treaties during early 1800s land conflicts

School is undergoing a $150 million renovation expected to be completed in 2030, and is redesigning its crest and imagery with more historically accurate connections to its namesake, including a Land Acknowledgment Memorial and bust of Chief Waubonsie

Anniversary celebrations include opening a 25-year time capsule, creating a new capsule to be opened in 2050, introducing a new mascot at homecoming, and revealing the Chief Waubonsie bust in a redesigned atrium
