Congratulates Aurora Actionaires on 50 years of service to the Aurora community (founded in 1975)

Organization was founded by Donna J. Williams, Martha M. Hickling, and Caroline Johnson as a social club that evolved into a service organization now composed of 20 African American women

Has provided more than $200,000 in college scholarships to underserved Aurora high school graduates and sponsors three Little Libraries

Community projects include Sickle Cell Tag Days, purchasing equipment for special needs students, FAFSA workshops, girl mentoring outings, and COVID-19 pandemic relief (masks, sanitizer, gloves, socks)

Established The Aurora Actionaires Foundation, Inc. in 2015 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving as the charitable arm of the organization
