Congratulates Tom Miller on his retirement from WJPF News Radio after nearly 50 years on the air, beginning his career as a music DJ in 1976

Tom Miller, a lifelong Southern Illinois resident from Harrisburg, hosted the WJPF Morning Newswatch program (6:00 AM to 9:00 AM, Monday through Friday) and served as program director for WJPF and WCIL-AM and operations manager for River Radio's six regional stations

Under his leadership, WJPF received the Medium Market Station of the Year award and Best Public Service Program award from the Illinois Broadcasters Association

Received the Leaders Among Us Award from the Southern Illinoisan newspaper and the Seven Seals Award from the Illinois National Guard for supporting local service members

Served on the board of trustees of the Bald Knob Cross of Peace and ran for Williamson County Board of Commissioners, demonstrating civic engagement beyond his broadcasting career
