Commends Sgt. Allen James Lynch for his military service during the Vietnam War and his dedication to serving Illinois veterans

Recognizes Lynch's Medal of Honor, awarded by President Richard Nixon in 1970 for rescuing and defending three wounded soldiers on December 15, 1967 near My An, Binh Dinh Province, Vietnam

Acknowledges his post-war career with the Department of Veterans Affairs and as chief of the Veterans Rights Bureau for the Illinois Attorney General's office until his retirement in 2005

Notes his continued volunteer work with Vietnam Veterans of America and service as liaison for the Congressional Medal of Honor Society

Directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to Sgt. Lynch in recognition of his bravery
