Condemns statements or threats of political violence from any official, including the President, intended to intimidate elected representatives for upholding the Constitution or affirming military members' duty to refuse unlawful orders

Reaffirms that U.S. Armed Forces personnel have a legal and moral obligation under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (Articles 90, 91, and 92) to obey only lawful orders

Cites the Nuremberg Principles establishing that following orders is not a defense for participating in illegal acts

Responds to public statements attributed to the President interpreted as threats against elected officials who affirmed service members must refuse unlawful orders

Directs copies be sent to the President, Secretary of Defense, congressional leadership, and all Illinois Congressional Delegation members
