Declares March 1 through March 7, 2026 as Illinois Soil Health Week in the State of Illinois

Recognizes six basic soil health principles: minimizing soil disturbance, maximizing plant and microbial diversity, maintaining living roots, keeping soil covered, integrating animals into land management, and incorporating local conditions in decision-making

Acknowledges that voluntary farming practices like no-till, cover crops, and nutrient management plans help reduce nitrate-nitrogen and phosphorus pollution flowing into watersheds, supporting goals of the Illinois Nutrient Loss Reduction Strategy

Highlights soil's role in carbon sequestration to combat climate change, improve water infiltration, and protect groundwater used for drinking water

Directs copies of the resolution to be delivered to the Director of the Department of Agriculture, the Governor's Office, and chairs of the Senate and House agriculture committees
