Recognizes SCN2A gene variants as the leading single-gene cause of neurodevelopmental disorders including autism, childhood seizures, and intellectual disabilities

Notes that approximately 1 in 9,000 people will be diagnosed with SCN2A-related disorders, which often go undetected due to lack of awareness even within the medical community

Encourages Illinois residents to support related activities and wear purple, blue, or green on February 24th to raise awareness of these disorders and the need for treatment
