Illinois House of Representatives commends Mika Baugher for decades of service to the Illinois General Assembly and multiple House Speakers

Began career as a receptionist in the Leadership Office and advanced to Executive Assistant to the Speaker, serving in that role under two Speakers for more than 20 years

Responsibilities included managing the Speaker's Capitol and district scheduling, coordinating session days, and supporting House members and staff

Commutes 40 miles daily from her hometown of Litchfield and is recognized for being first to arrive and last to leave the office

Credited with mentoring hundreds of staffers throughout her tenure and providing support to colleagues throughout the chamber
