Nevin Erbsen is a member of Eastland FFA in Lanark, Illinois, and currently a junior at Iowa State University majoring in agriculture systems technology with a minor in agronomy

His Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) includes working on his family's 100-cow dairy farm and at Gunderson Dairy Farms, a 500-cow operation involving robotic milking systems and herd management

Additional work experience includes operating tillage equipment at West Acres and employment with Kimberley Ag Sales and Service working with multiple equipment brands

The American STAR in Agricultural Placement recognizes the FFA member with the top agricultural placement SAE in the nation, representing outstanding achievement among thousands of American FFA Degree recipients
