Requires group and individual health insurance policies, managed care plans, and HMOs to cover all medically necessary FDA-approved treatments and medications prescribed to slow the progression of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, effective January 1, 2027

Prohibits insurers from requiring step therapy before covering FDA-approved Alzheimer's disease treatments and medications

Mandates coverage for diagnostic testing necessary to determine appropriate use of Alzheimer's treatments

Extends coverage requirements to self-insured counties, municipalities, school districts, and the State Employees Group Insurance Program

Exempts managed care plans under contract with the Department of Healthcare and Family Services (Medicaid) from these coverage requirements
