Amends the Illinois Controlled Substances Act to add fentanyl to the same penalty tier as heroin for possession offenses

Possession of 15 grams or more but less than 100 grams of fentanyl would be classified as a Class 1 felony

Mandatory prison sentence of not less than 4 years and not more than 15 years for possession of 15-100 grams of fentanyl

Currently, heroin and cocaine possession at these amounts already carry this penalty; the bill extends identical treatment to fentanyl
