Expands Illinois courts' general jurisdiction over foreign corporations that register to do business in the state or continue to maintain that registration, requiring them to consent to jurisdiction for lawsuits alleging toxic substance exposure injuries

Adds corporations with their principal place of business in Illinois to those subject to general jurisdiction, alongside corporations organized under Illinois law

Applies jurisdiction consent to toxic exposure cases only when at least one co-defendant is already subject to specific personal jurisdiction under existing Illinois long-arm statute provisions

Foreign corporations transacting business in Illinois without proper authority are deemed to have consented to general jurisdiction for 180 days following each unauthorized business act

Previously registered foreign corporations will be deemed to consent to jurisdiction upon their next annual report due date after the law takes effect, with consent terminating only upon formal withdrawal from the state
