Amends the Chicago Teacher Article of the Illinois Pension Code to replace full pension cancellation with pro rata withholding when retired teachers exceed allowed work days during re-employment

Pension benefits will be withheld proportionally for each day worked beyond the permitted limit (100-140 days depending on school year) rather than canceling the entire pension

Retired driver education teachers who exceed 900 hours annually will have pension benefits withheld on a pro rata basis for each 7.5-hour period over the limit

Changes apply retroactively to July 1, 2020, requiring recalculation of overpayments for pensioners whose pensions were cancelled between that date and the effective date of this act

Affected pensioners will receive refunds with interest for the difference between their original overpayment amount and the recalculated pro rata overpayment
