IL SB1256

Adds licensed physical therapists to the list of medical professionals who can certify a person's disability for the purpose of obtaining disability license plates or parking decals/devices (joining physicians, physician assistants, and advanced practice registered nurses)

Establishes a new requirement that registration plates or parking decals issued to persons with permanent disabilities must be recertified every 5 years through a statement from a licensed medical professional

Applies to disability plates for first division motor vehicles, motorcycles, autocycles, and second division vehicles weighing no more than 8,000 pounds

Amends Section 3-616 of the Illinois Vehicle Code regarding disability license plates
