Student members of the Illinois Board of Higher Education will receive a $500 scholarship award for each semester they are enrolled at an institution of higher education while serving on the Board

Student members of the Illinois Community College Board will receive a $500 scholarship award for each semester they are enrolled at a community college while serving on the State Board

Scholarship funds are payable directly to the institution where the student member is enrolled

Scholarships may be used for tuition and fees, books, and supplies

All board members (non-student) continue to serve without compensation but receive reimbursement for actual and necessary travel and other expenses related to their duties
