IL SB1570

Expands the Kratom Control Act to prohibit all persons from purchasing or possessing any kratom product, not just minors under 18 years old

Bans the sale, distribution of samples, or furnishing of kratom products to any person, removing the previous restriction that only applied to sales to minors

Makes purchasing or possessing kratom a Class B misdemeanor for any person

Imposes a mandatory minimum fine of $500 for selling, buying for others, distributing samples, or furnishing kratom products

Removes the provision prohibiting minors from using false identification to obtain kratom, as the substance would now be banned for all ages
