IL SB1850

Allows new teachers (not yet in contractual continued service) who participate in their school district's induction and mentoring program to substitute one non-evaluative mentor observation and feedback session for one formal evaluation observation

Applies specifically to teachers enrolled in district-established new teacher induction and mentoring programs

Amends Section 24A-5 of the School Code regarding the content of teacher evaluation plans

Does not change existing requirements that non-tenured teachers be evaluated at least once per school year
