IL SB1941

Amends the definition of "park zone street" to include any State or local street adjacent to a park zone (previously limited to streets under control of a local unit of government)

Maintains the 20 mph speed limit on park zone streets when children are present within 50 feet of motorized traffic

First violation of park zone traffic rules carries a minimum $250 fine; second or subsequent violations carry a minimum $500 fine

Authorizes local governments to install rapid flashing beacons at pedestrian crosswalks near elementary and secondary schools to alert drivers when pedestrians activate the beacons
