Schools and school districts serving grades 9-12 may establish "advance academic studies ambassadors programs" that recruit students who have passed advanced academic courses to help recruit other students into these programs and promote them to families

The State Board of Education will award annual competitive grants to fund these programs, subject to appropriation

Grant eligibility is limited to schools in the bottom 5% of Title I-eligible schools statewide or schools with graduation rates of 67% or below in the previous academic year

Priority for grant awards goes to schools with disparities in advanced academic program participation and pass rates among different student demographic groups

Grant applications must include information on grades served, summative designation, participation data disaggregated by demographic group, requested funding amount, and a spending plan
