Eliminates prior authorization requirements for medications prescribed to treat multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and pre-diabetes when the patient has been on an established treatment regimen for at least 12 months

Excludes benzodiazepines and Schedule II narcotic drugs from the prior authorization exemption

Extends the Prior Authorization Reform Act to cover State Employees Group Health Insurance Program participants, with enforcement by the Department of Insurance

Allows health plans to deny coverage or impose prior authorization if the FDA has issued safety concerns about a drug, the manufacturer has notified of discontinuance, or the drug has been removed from the market

Effective January 1, 2027
