Expands the definition of bribery to include receiving property or personal advantage after an improper act has been performed, not just payments made with intent to influence future actions

Extends legislative misconduct to cover payments received for votes or influence a legislator "has given or withheld" in the past, in addition to prospective votes

Creates an explicit exemption for campaign contributions that are permissible under the Election Code, protecting lawful political donations from prosecution under these statutes

Bribery remains a Class 2 felony; legislative misconduct remains a Class 3 felony

Amends Sections 33-1 (bribery) and 33-8 (legislative misconduct) of the Criminal Code of 2012
