Amends the Firearm Concealed Carry Act to create an exception allowing retired police officers to carry concealed firearms in buildings controlled by local government units

Retired officers may only carry on premises of their former governmental employer, not any local government building

Two conditions must be met: the retired officer must be authorized to carry under the federal Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act of 2004, and the local government must pass an ordinance permitting such carry

Current law prohibits concealed carry license holders from carrying firearms in local government buildings; this bill creates a narrow exception specifically for qualifying retired law enforcement
