IL SB2303

Establishes escalating civil penalties for repeat offenders who provide unlicensed fire sprinkler contractor services or practice as unlicensed fire sprinkler inspectors

First offense carries a civil penalty of up to $10,000; second offense within 24 months requires a minimum penalty of $10,000

Third or subsequent offense within 24 months requires a minimum civil penalty of $25,000

All civil penalties are deposited into the Fire Prevention Fund and must be paid within 60 days of the order

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law
