IL SB2753

Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code Section 13C-15 to delay the start of required vehicle emissions inspections from the fourth calendar year after the vehicle model year to the sixth calendar year.

Vehicles would continue to be inspected every 2 years following the initial inspection, maintaining the existing biennial inspection cycle.

Applies to the registration denial inspection and notification program for motor vehicles owned by residents of affected counties.

Effectively gives newer vehicles an additional 2 years before their first emissions inspection is required.
