Amends the Property Tax Code to make permanent the authority for chief county assessment officers to automatically renew the homestead exemption for persons with disabilities without requiring an annual application.

Removes the 2027 expiration date for the automatic renewal provision, which currently applies to counties with more than 3,000,000 residents and other counties where the county board has authorized such action.

The homestead exemption provides a $2,000 reduction from the property's assessed value for qualifying persons with disabilities who own and occupy the property as their primary residence.

Automatic renewal is prohibited if the disability is not expected to continue for 12 months or more, the exemption has been deemed erroneous, or the claimant has reported ineligibility.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
