Extends the deadline for retired downstate teachers to work up to 120 paid days or 600 paid hours per school year without losing retirement benefits from June 30, 2026 to June 30, 2029

Maintains the restriction that no more than 100 paid days can be worked in the same classroom during this extended period

After June 30, 2029, the work limit returns to 100 paid days or 500 paid hours per school year for retired teachers

Requires that returning retired teachers cannot work during the same school year in which they terminated service

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law
