IL SB2992

Establishes short-term approval for paraprofessional educator endorsements on Educator Licenses with Stipulations for individuals meeting Illinois Administrative Code requirements.

Short-term paraprofessional approval expires on June 30 immediately following 5 full fiscal years after the approval was granted.

Amends Section 21B-20 of the School Code's Educator Licensure Article.

Effective date of July 1, 2026.
