Creates the Sale of Pharmaceuticals on Social Media Act in Illinois, introduced January 28, 2026 by Sen. Sue Rezin

Prohibits individuals from selling or advertising pharmaceuticals on social media without completing a verification process with the platform

Requires sellers to submit front and back images of their state-issued identification card to the social media platform

Mandates disclaimers in all advertisements clearly disclosing the seller's name, plus identification on the social media page where sales occur

Exempts FDA-approved drug manufacturers and distributors, licensed biological product makers, and over-the-counter drug marketers from these requirements
