Requires all Illinois law enforcement agencies to provide officers with training on administering lethality assessments for domestic violence cases by January 1, 2028.

Mandates that officers investigating domestic violence allegations involving intimate partners administer a lethality assessment starting July 1, 2028, regardless of whether an arrest is made.

Requires officers to document in the police report when a victim cannot or does not provide sufficient information for a lethality assessment, and to refer the victim to a local certified domestic violence center.

Prohibits officers from including or attaching to police reports the name of the domestic violence center to which a victim was referred, protecting victim confidentiality.

Bars officers who have not received lethality assessment training from administering such assessments.
