IL SB3050

Extends an existing withholding tax credit to public employers who grant all employees the option of paid leave for serving as an organ donor or bone marrow donor.

Amends Section 704A of the Illinois Income Tax Act (35 ILCS 5/704A) to include public employers in the credit program.

Previously, the withholding tax credit was available only to private employers offering organ/bone marrow donor leave.

The bill takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
