Prohibits the use of direct recording electronic (DRE) voting machines and systems in Illinois elections, effective January 1, 2027

Requires all voting machines and voting systems to be approved by the State Board of Elections

Repeals Article 24C of the Election Code, which governed Direct Recording Electronic Voting Systems

Excludes from the definition of "voting machine," "voting system," or "electronic voting system" any machine that uses a computer as the marking device to mark a ballot sheet

Amends multiple sections of the Election Code (10 ILCS 5) to remove references to direct recording electronic voting equipment and make conforming changes
