Secretary of State must suspend driver's licenses and vehicle registration privileges for individuals who fail to comply with firearm surrender requirements after their Firearm Owner's Identification Card is suspended or revoked due to an order of protection.

Illinois State Police must report noncompliance to the Secretary of State within 7 days of FOID card suspension or revocation; applies to vehicles under 8,000 pounds.

Written notice must be provided 60 days before suspension takes effect, giving individuals time to comply with Firearm Owners Identification Card Act requirements.

Suspensions remain in effect until compliance is verified; individuals may contest through administrative hearings, which stay the suspension if requested before the effective date.

Illinois State Police and Secretary of State must establish electronic data-sharing mechanisms and may adopt rules to implement the new Chapter 7a of the Illinois Vehicle Code.
