Amends the Illinois Nurse Practice Act to allow the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation to temporarily suspend a nursing license without prior hearing if the licensee was not properly credentialed at the time of application.

Licensees must be notified of suspension at their address or email of record and have 30 days to request Board review by submitting written evidence of qualifications.

The Board reviews evidence at its next regularly scheduled meeting and makes a recommendation to the Director of the Division of Professional Regulation, who may either withdraw the license or lift the suspension with conditions.

License withdrawal for lack of qualifications does not constitute formal discipline and does not bar the individual from reapplying if they later meet qualification standards.

Separate disciplinary proceedings may also be initiated based on Board recommendations or Department findings.
